It’s going to be a long day, but at least I’m g rabbing drinks afterwords with a friend. We already work together in close contact so not much point in avoiding so cializing ...
How’s everyone else doing?

Sammy escaped the yard and I had to use another dog as bait in order to get her close enough for me to tackle her and get the leash on her. So, today’s meh.

Meh. Good thing is that I start my new job monday. My boss just returned from NY, so I am planning on just grabbing my new cell, laptop and files and GTFO.
Got toilet paper this morning after standing in line for an hour.

I’m not doctor, but I would advise you not to drink after you’ve consumed those things. Its hard on your liver and other organs. Of course I also wouldn’t tell you to consume chlorine to cure COVID-19.
I’m fine. Got deemed “essential” by the government today, so after a lot of floundering around by upper management and them doing everything in their power to not make a decision, I guess it’s final - I will be continuing to work through all this. Or at least come to work, considering a lot of our other people are out and I’m quickly running out of things to do without my team.

One thing I’ve done with my current dog that I wish I’d done with my husky: make the leash the most exciting thing in the world—bringing the leash out into view always means an a dventure (walk or car ride) and just saying the word “leash” means treats. So when the bad dog escapes and refuses to be recalled , the leash itself is exciting enough to return and be hooked up. Might have saved me a lot of husky-chasing and -tackling.

Oh that’s right. 400mg at 8am, I should be good for a few drinks by 6ish right? Hellooooo, doctor to the front desk!
Good luck. One way or another, it's going to be weird for awhile

I will start doing that. Inside, she loves the leash. If she’s already outside? Forget it, she hates it.

She’s a husky from a reserve, too. So her life prior to me was a lot of wandering around.

After seeing your posts from the last few days with that dog, I’ve decided that you need an around the clock film crew with you to document the shenanigans.

I think, maybe you’d be okay if you’ve got 10 hours? But I definitely don’t know on that one.
Thanks! Mrs. Snuze is home on admin leave and I wish I could join her. I’m trying to wrap up my end of the project I’m on, to the extend possible, and then plead the case that I should be at home. I’m to the point that I’d like nothing more than to hole up in the house, turn off the TV and electronics for a while, and just get some shit done.

alcohol+NSAIDs can cause gastric bleeding. Alcohol+acetaminophen can really do a number on your liver.

start new job on monday, BC is surely gonna be closed like Ontario and Quebec by then.
I’m off a 4pm then off until the 13th unless that changes. I’m guessing the mining industry is gonna push to come back as soon as we can though.

H opefully your job calms down soon, our bodies can only take so much.
Ea rlier today I let my supervisor know I’m going to be working 6 hour shifts from here on out. 3am-9 to keep exposure to people low, everybody at work seems to not currently be sweating it and thinks I'm overreacting.

I think the French government has said something about that. The Ars Technica COVID explainer links to this article: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanres/article/PIIS2213-2600(20)30116-8/fulltext#coronavirus-linkback-header
From the article:
Human pathogenic coronaviruses (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus [SARS-CoV] and SARS-CoV-2) bind to their target cells through angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), which is expressed by epithelial cells of the lung, intestine, kidney, and blood vessels. The expression of ACE2 is substantially increased in patients with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, who are treated with ACE inhibitors and angiotensin II type-I receptor blockers (ARBs). Hypertension is also treated with ACE inhibitors and ARBs, which results in an upregulation of ACE2. ACE2 can also be increased by thiazolidinediones and ibuprofen .
There’s no clear evidence at this point, but I’m steering clear of NSAIDs at the moment just to be safe.

Hopefully. I don’t expect it though. To be honest, I kind of like taking all this chaos and molding it into something resembling order. But yeah, I’m physically and mentally exhausted. I’ll probably go back down to 5 days/week in a month or so.
More time for you to finish car projects!
